Traverse City

The Traverse City area has much to offer.  It is a northern Michigan town on Lake Michigan. They have beautiful beaches, wineries, art, fantastic restaurants, and lots of great places to explore.  Here are some of our favorite places to enjoy when we visit the area 

 

Fishtown is a fun place to visit.  If is still used as a place for fisherman to head out into the great lakes but it now has become a hip place to visit.  There are lots of local artists, restaurants, and places to shop.  It's a great place for all.   There is also a nice beach near by. 

Wineries -  There are so many wonderful wineries in the area. You could spend all day visiting these and not see them all.  

Inland Seas -  This is an educational experience like you've never seen.   They take you out on to the great lake with scientists to collect samples.  They also let the kids steer the boat and raise the sails. 

Great Wolf Lodge -  This is a fun waterpark for families to enjoy. 

Sleeping bear dunes National Lake shore -  This is a beautiful place to explore.
